Bon Odori 2010

Bon Odori 2010 at Shah Alam is an annual event held during Obon. It is celebrated as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one’s ancestors or to honour the spirits of one’s ancestors.

In Malaysia, Bon Odori Festivals are also celebrated every year in Esplanade, Penang and at the Panasonic (Matsushita) Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor. Held mainly to expose the locals to part of Japanese culture, the festival provides the experience of a variety of Japanese food & drinks, art and cultural dance.

Due to the limited number of parking  bays, participants are strongly recommended to utilise the KTM. FREE Shuttle Bus services will be provided to transport participants from KTM Shah Alam Station (section 19) to Kompleks Sukan Negara and vice versa. Admission is FREE!!!!

Please respect the Japanese culture by NOT turning up in your cosplay costume. No high heels on the field as well as no smoking in designated areas. Enjoy!
